Scarlett

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Shana M. O'Hara is a fiery southern belle.  Trained by her father in Tae Kwon Do since she was a child she is deadly in hand-to-hand combat.  She is an intelligence specialist and she will do whatever is necessary to obtain information.  Whether it is undercover work or going in alone under the cover of darkness she will get the job done.  A no nonsense woman, she has been known to make men twice her size reveal secrets when she was left alone with them.  She can hold her own and she seemingly has to prove herself whenever new recruits show up at G.I. Joe headquarters, which she does by challenging them to a fight in the training room.

The first female on the Joe team, she has earned the respect and admiration of every member.  She is thought of like a sister by everyone at G.I. Joe.  Scarlett insists on being treated like one of the guys and she will relax with them by shooting pool or watching sports.  But just as easily she can be as feminine as any spoiled rich girl.  She has a natural beauty that she can make shine when she wants to and she enjoys making her teammates ogle over her.  But they know that they could never be anything but her teammates, since her heart belongs to another.

She and Snake Eyes have a relationship like no one else's.  Although he cannot speak and keeps his scarred face covered most of the time, she always seems to know what he is thinking.  They are a dedicated couple, but they are still dedicated to the team more than the relationship.  This dedication to G.I. Joe has ruined their wedding day on two occasions and its rumored that they will never marry. 

Although they are hopelessly devoted to each other, Scarlett sees the jealousy in Duke's eyes.  They had a brief time together when Snake Eyes was thought to be dead.  Duke was there to console Scarlett and their feelings began to grow.  But when Snake Eyes returned, Scarlett seemed to forget about what was happening between her and Duke.  But she has never forgotten and she sometimes wonders what may have happened.
