Sigma Force was started as a demonstration team to showcase G.I. Joe's diversity among its members. They are assigned missions in highly visible areas and go strictly by the book. They are to appear as superheroes to the common man and their main goal is to make G.I. Joe as appealing as possible. People skills are a must for the members of this team and they are treated the same way movie stars are with children asking for autographs and being invited to the nicest parties around. Many of the other members of the main roster resent the attention Sigma Force gets but they don't realize what the members go through being in the spotlight while keeping a constant eye out for Cobra.
